Yes, I agree, the design reflects the content of the site brilliantly. Very good work, however it could be said there are perhaps too many graphics used within the design which could detract from the comics themselves.

I really like the background image. I think it works really well the overall design. It actually made me want to get out my sketch pad. Nice job!
